HUs International Art Projects
NATHAN HAINES IN SHANGHAI CHINA. 2023
2023
VUE: Hosted UK/NZ musician Nathan Haines as the 2nd resident artist at VUE Residence (Shanghai). Organised Nathan and his band to perform at the 22nd China Shanghai International Art Festival & master class at Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory of Music.
HUs: Acted as the leading sponsor for the book "Billy Apple Life/Work," written by Christina Barton and published by the University of Auckland.
2022
HUs: Joined the Auckland Art Gallery Foundation.
2020
VUE: Produced a film and directed by Rubeta Yuan, Guest of the Mist 2037《雾中来的人2037》
2019-2022
HUs: Produced a video: Artist Voice in Lockdown. Invited Chinese artists to create and complete this video together.
2019
VUE: Hosted Billy Apple as the first artist at VUE (Shanghai) Residence, contributing to the creation of "Gung Ho (工合)" as a tribute to Rewi Alley.

YAF: Arranged a residency for three Chinese artists (one musician, one video artist, one photographer) and New Zealand writer Justin Brown at HUs Residence in Coatesville, Auckland.

YAF: Hosted a residency program for ten young Chinese artists at HUs Residence in Coatesville, Auckland.

VUE: Sponsor and supporter of Inter Youth at the China Academy of Arts ( CAA ). A multi-national event showcasing works from around the world.
2017-2019
YAF: Collaborated with Elam Art School at the University of Auckland to participate in the Guangzhou Graduate Art Fair as a supportive sponsor. Over seven works by New Zealand artists were exhibited at the fair

HUs: Jennie offered her expertise as a member of the Advisory Board of the New Zealand China Council.

HUs: Served as a board member for the Campaign of the University of Auckland.
2012
HUs: Successfully organised live performances by Wang Dong Ling, a renowned Chinese calligraphy master, at Auckland Art Gallery, followed by a solo exhibition at Gus Fisher Gallery. The Bank of China was pivotal as the leading sponsor for this series of events.
2018
HUs: In collaboration with the Public Art Foundation we set up a solo exhibition of East/West at the Gus Fisher Gallery for the Chinese/New Zealand Artist Regan Lee. Invited guests included Cassandra Fusco the chief editor of Art News. Peter Shand Dean of Elam Art School. John and Louis are sponsors of the Public Art Foundation
2016
HUs: Supported the 2nd International Public Art Forum and Competition in Auckland as a sponsor through her involvement with the Public Art Foundation. Auckland University, Shan Dong University, Shanghai University and Auckland Art Gallery hosted the event.
2016
HUs: Co-founded the Public Art Foundation, serving as a trustee alongside esteemed board members such as Dale Mace, Jenny Dixon, John McCommack, William Sommerville, and Jin Jiangbo.
2014
HUs: Organised the participation of Vincent Ward as a jury member at the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival.
2013
HUs: Led the establishment of the Vincent Ward Film Master Class at Shanghai University, Shanghai Academy of Drama, Film & Media School, and China Academy of Art.

HUs: Orchestrated the solo exhibition "Lost Destiny" of Vincent Ward multi-media works at the Union Church of the 9th Shanghai Biennale.
