In 2020, through the recommendation of Viv Stone (Director of McMahon Trust), Richard Frater was added to HUS ART’s list of prospective artists for collaboration. In 2023, Jennie Hu, the Director of HUS ART, visited Richard Frater, who lives and works in Berlin. From April 10 to June 15, 2025 , his solo exhibition will be held at the Box Art Museum in Shunde, Guangdong. The exhibition is titled Wake (蘇), and is curated by Wang Yiyi.

Kitty Scott’s visit has been organised by the Office for Contemporary Art Aotearoa in partnership with Gregory Burke and HUs Art, and has been made possible through the very kind support of Kent Gardner and Ngaere Duff, Jenny Gibbs, Michael Lett, and Jenny and Andrew Smith. Kitty’s stay in Auckland is generously hosted by the Park Hyatt, Auckland’s luxury 5-star waterfront hotel.

Illuminations by Yafeng Duan
Gow Langsford Gallery is pleased to present Illuminations by Yafeng Duan. This is Duan’s inaugural exhibition with Gow Langsford, and her first solo show in Aotearoa. Duan works in abstract painting, combining gestural mark-making with multi-layered paint washes. Her paintings are richly colourful and expressive, drawing on influences from both traditional Chinese ink painting and contemporary Western abstract art.
